The Brits are very clever and ingenious people and they seem to have a leg up when it comes to the green products. Over on the pond, a company called Vegware has created plastic cutlery from potatoes and corn. It’s completely biodegradable in 180 days and they are really snazzy to boot. Perfect for picnics or times when you just don’t feel like doing the dishes. (Which is all the time for me) The company also carries biodegradable trash bags and takeaway boxes (for the food service industry).
A fact that I should mention; Vegware states that an estimated 39 billion items of disposable cutlery are used in the US each year and 2 billion items of disposable cutlery were used in the UK in 1990. That’s a lot of dishes that’s not being washed. I guess I am not the only one who hates to do the dishes.

Cool, stylish, and impressively cheap when purchased in bulk quantities. Here’s hoping this gives plastic cutlery a run for its money.

Wow, that is amazingly awesome!
I’m actually gonna pitch this to our business, we were thinking of doing take-away baskets (full of goodies)and this would be perfect!

I will sure use these if I see them in the store. I noticed a couple of posts back you said your comments were going down and I wanted to say that I often read here but don’t comment. I will try and comment more often. Don’t be discouraged and please keep doing what you are doing.
