Starre over at Eco-chick (a tres chic green blog) has a fabulous post on recycling your used electronics.
Staples recycles the following in all of their stores whether you bought the item there or not: cell phones, chargers, computers and peripherals, CRT and LCD monitors, digital cameras, fax machines, inkjet and toner cartridges, keyboards,
mice, pagers, PDAs, printers, rechargeable batteries, and “all-in-ones”
While, you are there… check out their 100% recycled printer papers and Method Cleaning Supplies. I should mention that Target also carries Method. I love this Eco-friendly line. It smells delicious.. non-toxic… and comes in recyclable packaging. Affordable to boot!
If there’s not a Staples near by, then try the electronic recycling bins at the entrance of Best Buy. With so many places that offer free and convenient drop offs; there’s no excuse to recycle those old has beens.

It’s possible that we need not recycle artificial Christmas trees. We bought a sturdy one and were careful not to damage anything when decorating the tree and taking the decorations down.
It has been in use for four years and is still in good shape.
