Staples recycles the following in all of their stores whether you bought the item there or not: cell phones, chargers, computers and peripherals, CRT and LCD monitors, digital cameras, fax machines, inkjet and toner cartridges, keyboards,
mice, pagers, PDAs, printers, rechargeable batteries, and “all-in-ones”

While, you are there… check out their 100% recycled printer papers and Method Cleaning Supplies. I should mention that Target also carries Method. I love this Eco-friendly line. It smells delicious.. non-toxic… and comes in recyclable packaging. Affordable to boot!

If there’s not a Staples near by, then try the electronic recycling bins at the entrance of Best Buy. With so many places that offer free and convenient drop offs; there’s no excuse to recycle those old has beens.

If you decided to get a Christmas Tree this year and have no clue what to do with your tree; check out Earth 911’s Treecycling Made Simple.

  • You can search by State and City to find your local recycling centers or pick up programs.

  • One holiday product that can’t be recycled is an artificial Christmas tree, Artificial trees contain lead, so they should be disposed of with other household hazardous products.
