Protect your skin with Eco-friendly Sunscreen

The summertime is finally here! As our Ozone layer becomes depleted due to Global Warming (another good reason to live a Eco-friendly life) ; it is essential that you protect your skin from the harmful UV rays that can lead to skin cancer. Here I am going to list some of the best skin care products that’s very Earth friendly and protects your skin at the same time.

• L’Occitane: a great French company that respects the Environment and at the same time makes awesome skin care products. They are also a cruelty free company. They have great sun care line to protect your entire family. Their scents are all derived from nature but at the same time doesn’t smell like you live in a commune traveling like hippies. You can be a corporate slave and still be a closet environmentalist. Your secret is safe with us.
• Dr Hauschka Organic and Mineral Sunscreen: this Organic and biodegradable sunscreen is made with non-toxic titanium dioxide which offers natural protection from the sun. Great for sensitive skins.
• Alba Sunscreen: the most affordable and one of my personal favorites. Alba skin care line smells absolutely delicious! People will be asking you what you are wearing all the time. Organic, and made with natural ingredients such as Aloe Vera , Chamomile, and Green Tea. Smells like you just went on an exotic holiday to Hawaii or Tahiti… they even have baby sunscreen.
• Aubrey Organics: They have one of the most extensive Organic and Earth-Friendly sun care line and pretty affordable (same price as what you would pay at the grocery store for the “other” sun care line). They are free of Petrochemical (chemical products made from raw materials of Petroleum) additives. They have products from babies to adults. Good stuff!
• California Baby: For your bundle of Joy.. this chemical free and fragrance free sunscreen is perfect for babies. It is also a cruelty free company. Highly recommended by many Mommies out there.
• Furry Friend Sunscreen: Oh yes, I had to add one in for your pets. If you like to take your dog everywhere like I do… you should protect your furry friend’s skin too (they also burn) This stick is great to put on their nose, bare spots.. maybe even their paws
