Please do not mind the current mess. I am trying to find the best design for my new blog. I have changed my name to Accidental Environmentalist. However, I might be continuing my Jolly Green Girl blog on a Pointless Banter network started by Pointless Banter’s author, Kevin Palmer. I am really excited about the prospect however, nothing is on paper yet, so it’s all in theory at the moment. I would really like the opportunity Kevin, old chap, you.
My feedburner feed has been acting up. It hasn’t been updating my new entries and as much I have tried to fix it.. even going the “nuclear” route. At the end, nothing could be salvaged. So I must change my feed once again. That means, that you might have to change your subscription (if you are subscribed to Jolly Green Girl) to my new one too. I am so sorry about this but I wasn’t expecting so many problems with the move. However, I am sure everything will sort itself out in due time. I will still update so please be patient, while I try the best new design for this site.
In the mean time, here’s some other green blogs, you might want to check out.
Eco-Chick is an awesome green blog I really enjoy reading. Starr, the editor and founder, talks about a great design project that’s happening in New York City called Haute Green Design Exhibit. (Oh, how I wish I could go back to the city) You can check out this Eco-friendly solar panel that runs on super-efficient LED light which grows the plants and filters interior air. This is ideal for less-than-sunny rooms or basement or windowless apartments, and offices.
My fellow green blogger and craft designers, Maki Squarepatch are running for a contest called “The Next Big Thing” One of the contestants is the winner from Project Runway. They are a very earth friendly designers that uses recycled materials to create beautiful objects. Go to their site and vote for them if you can. You don’t need to sign up or anything like that. Just click on the button. Simple and Easy, just how I like it.
Another great Eco-blog is Alternative Consumer. Very chic and hip and green at the same time. Right up the Accidental Environmentalist’s alley. They have some great summer finds you can take on your summer vacation. Green on the go, Eco-travel kits, can be found on their site among other great green information.
Do let me know what you think about my newly appointed name and design. I hope you bear with me… as I go through some major design changes and also feed unpredictability.
All in the name of Mother Earth. ![]()

Thank you so much for your kind words. It’s comments like these that really make my day.
I am so happy that there are people out there who truly care about the world around them and coming from a veteran… I am truly flattered
