Fighting a good fight definitely has it’s ups and downs. Fighting a green fight seems like an uphill battle. Period. Here I am trying to live a more “Eco-friendly” life and on my opposite corner is my oblivious friends and significant other who seems to do the exact opposite. My boyfriend wants to get “I hate the Environment” T shirt. My friend is asking me if she should get the Yukon or Tahoe. (You know those mammoth sized SUV’s that makes me wonder why anyone would need a car that big) It doesn’t help that my own brother owns one. Perhaps in my attempt to minimize the “holier than thou” affect that the green movement has been stigmatized with; my roar has become a squeak and essentially non effective.
Then there are days when even I am inconvenienced by it all.. There are days that I don’t want to sort the recyclables and want to take a long hot bath; the water consumption be damned. And how do I continue to fight the “Organic” battle when the pesticide and hormone free products costs two to three times as much the “average” products. Healthier (and greener) option goes out the window when you are on a budget. So how do you go on?
I just remember this quote…
“You must not do something only when it conveniences you.. but you must also do it when it inconveniences you”
I can’t remember who it’s from but it rings true for me…

I don’t know if anyone doesn’t care about the environment to the point where they hate it…most people are just ignorant of it, but honestly technology will get the planet in a healthier state…they invented a car that runs on air, so the car problem will be resolved, as well as other sources of energy..aka solar are becoming more widespread. I think the wheels are in motion for saving the Planet whether people want it to happen or not

Hi Dan! Thanks for stopping by… actually the I hate the Environment is a sarcastic response to my overzealousness sometimes. I can go overboard.
My boyfriend doesn’t hate the environment.. infact he’s coming around
But in seriousness. I think Global Warming or not.. it is our responsibility to take care of the planet we call home
