Fight Global Warming with a bumper sticker

You recycle. You buy Eco-friendly products; you really care about the environment and you know that driving that big SUV is not doing the Earth any service, but you can’t help yourself. Because you REALLY do need all that space to lug the kids, pets, and the grocery that’s packed in the cloth grocery totes. (Because the JGG has recommended it of course) You feel a twinge of guilt but seriously, you have done all you can on your part. Well, if can’t give up that mammoth of a gas guzzler; there’s something you can do to off set that. It’s called TerraPass.

TerraPass is a company started by ivy league business graduates who wanted to make an impact on Global Warming in a big way. This is not your average Environmental Group. The company is filled with many business mavericks who wants to dedicate themselves to the environment. So what exactly is TerraPass?

  • TerraPass is a carbon off setting program in which you pay off the “carbon blueprint”
  • The “carbon blueprint’ depends on how much gas you consume, how much electricity you use, and how many times you get on that plane.
  • The money you put towards Terra Pass is used for funding clean energy bills, and renewable energy projects such as wind farms. According to the TerraPass Website, they have eliminated over 250 million pounds of carbon dioxide emission.
  • The funds are certified by Resources Solution so you can be assured that your money is going towards what you are paying for. Currently they have projects in wind energy, Biomass, and Industrial efficiency. This is all gibberish for me; so if you really want to know. Just check out their website under Projects.

    • You can purchase TerraPass as little as $30. (give or take) You can calculate the amount of CO2 you emit on their website (I wonder if they consider the bodily functions along with that) and then you can pay the amount suggested to make your carbon emission balanced to zero. They also provide a cool sticker you can slab on your beloved SUV. I am in it just for the sticker. They even have a wedding TerraPass just in case you are planning that mammoth wedding to go with you mammoth SUV. Even bridezillas can have compassion.

    We can fight Global Warming if we all do our part and for those that can’t; they can buy it. And that’s a good thing.
