CO2 Saver

This is a nifty little Eco-friendly tool for your Windows browser. I, unfortunately run on Macbook, so it’s little of use to me but for you Windows users, you are in luck. You can actually download this CO2 Saver provided by Snap.Com

In a matter of seconds you can reduce the amount of energy your computer and monitor use when they are idle and prevent extra CO2 emissions from being generated. What’s more, CO2 Saver shows you the amount of CO2 you’ve saved single-handedly, as well as all other CO2 Saver users combined!

So how does it work?

CO2 Saver immediately adjusts your Windows Power Management settings to reduce your computer’s energy use when it’s idle (by default, it activates after you are away from your computer for 30 minutes). You can always adjust the level of power management at any time in the Options menu.

You can also save on electricity by using this free tool. You can also browse the web by using the search button that includes Google, Snap, Yahoo, MSN, Ask, and A9! (I have no clue who A9 is by the way) Is it going a bit overboard? Who knows.. but it’s free so why not give it a try. And they have partnered up with very solid Eco-friendly companies so I believe it to be a pretty safe bet…

You can learn more about this cool Energy Saver or even download it by visiting CO2 Saver.

Do let me know how it works out should you choose to use it.
