I just got an e-mail from Cruelty Free and Fair Trade Company, The Body Shop. If you haven’t heard of them by now.. you have been living under a rock. They are having a sale up to 75% off! this is a great opportunity for you to save on body products that’s well known and trusted as well as being Eco-friendly. Body Shop is certified by PETA by themselves that it’s cruelty free company (Companies that do not support or do animal testing) and they promote Fair Trade (where disadvantaged countries receive fair amount for their natural resources) .
So shop to your heart’s content… they are also one of Jolly Green Girl’s sponsor that I have started with Link Share. Basically if you buy a product through the links I provide; I get a percentage. (enough to buy a cup of coffee perhaps) But I am not required to do a plug-in or anything like that. I choose to do so because it’s a sale! And I use Body Shop products myself. I like their cocoa butter. Yummy.
Here are the links

Hi Susie!
Yep I know The Body Shop, they have an outlet here in Bahrain as well!
But guess what, for some reason they keep declining me every time I apply for their affiliate program on Link Share!
Guess I’m not good enough for them

Perhaps your blog doesn’t pertain to the niche they are looking for? I wouldn’t be too worried about it. I am sure you have a lot of affiliate network that would be happy to work with you

Sorry - I used to adore Body Shop, but are they still cruelty-free certified after being sold to L’Oreal (a not-so-cruelty-free or eco-friendly company)? I’ve been looking everywhere for this info and can’t get any solid facts. Do you as an affiliate know?

I checked their website and the PETA list and both are listed for Cruelty Free… but I also e-mailed them personally and even though they have merged with L’Oreal, they are still standing behind their philosophies and will maintain their cruelty free, fair trade brand. Who knows.. perhaps they will convince L’Oreal to follow. Stranger things have happened. But thanks for making me aware that Body Shop has changed ownership.
